With over 800 care packages delivered last year, our volunteers helped turn small moments of support into lasting impact across three neighborhoods.

This past year, Common Hands volunteers packed and delivered over 800 care packages across three neighborhoods. These packages included food, hygiene items, and household essentials. Many were part of our Neighbor Reach and Care Visits programs, designed to meet short-term needs and support ongoing relationships.

These deliveries weren’t just about supplies. They were about building trust. About showing up. And about letting people know they’re not alone.

"It’s not the size of the package that matters," said Maya, one of the program coordinators. "It’s that someone took time to knock on a door, say hello, and hand it over with care."

Volunteers played a major role in reaching this milestone. Over 150 individuals gave their time throughout the year. From packing to driving to visiting, they helped ensure that no request went unanswered.

As we look ahead, we’re planning to expand the program and reach even more households. With continued support from donors and new volunteers signing up, 2023 is already off to a strong start.
